Follow-up to Why Geo Meta Tags

Facebook recently announced the release of Places, a geo-location notifying service that works in conjunction with an iPhone app to notify friends of your location. This location-based technology will tie together friends from across the site through check-ins, videos, and status updates. Also, Facebook will release a read API and a search API will follow shortly.
As explained by Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Places will help Facebook members share their location and see who is around them. It will also provide a search function to find nearby businesses. This new Facebook places app is one more reason that Car Dealers should be working with geo tags on their websites to insure that these new apps will be able to work with a businesses’ website in regards to their business location.
